louis munroe was born and raised in the blue ridge mountains of northwestern north carolina. he went to the nc school of the arts in winston-salem, where he became a prolific songwriter. he later attended bard college in upstate ny, where he continued to write. that's been many years ago, and he is still upstate, with the exception of a brief stint in asheville, nc. he paints pictures, and does carpentery and odd jobs when he needs to. so far there's about ten albums out, depending on who you talk to.
