louis munroe was born and raised in the blue ridge mountains of northwestern north carolina. he went to the nc school of the arts in winston-salem, where he became a prolific songwriter. he later attended bard college in upstate ny, where he continued to write. that's been many years ago, and he is still upstate, with the exception of a brief stint in asheville, NC a couple of years ago. he paints pictures, and does carpentery and odd jobs when he needs to. so far there's about ten albums out, depending on who you talk to.
